Who we are
Stand with Bruce is a supporter community platform. This notice explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Joining the community: name, email and/or phone, ZIP code, preferred contact method and language, and the consents you give (with the date and the version of this notice).
- Assistance requests: the same contact details, the type of help, the date and time you need it, and optional notes you choose to write.
- Volunteering: contact details, ZIP code, languages, general availability and the tasks you prefer.
What we do not collect
- Passwords (for voters), Social Security numbers, identity documents, or full home addresses.
- How you vote, party affiliation, or any political preference. We do not infer them, and we do not buy, combine or import voter files to profile people.
- Analytics or advertising trackers. We use only two small cookies: a language-preference cookie, and a strictly necessary sign-in cookie for staff in the admin area.
How we use it
To contact you about what you signed up for, to review and coordinate assistance requests, and to coordinate volunteers. Supporter updates and announcements are sent only if you tick the separate, optional box, and you can unsubscribe at any time. Help is offered to anyone who asks and is never conditioned on whom you support.
Who can see it
Only authorized coordinators, through a private admin panel with individual sign-ins. We use service providers to run the platform: Notion (database), our hosting provider. We do not sell your information. Personal data is never published.
How long we keep it
We review records after 365 days and delete or archive those that are no longer needed. You can ask for earlier deletion at any time.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from supporter updates.
- Ask to access, correct or delete your information.
We verify your identity before changing or deleting anything and aim to respond within 30 days.
Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS, kept in access-controlled systems, and visible only to authorized staff. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you we will notify you as required by law.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this notice we will update the version number above. Each consent you give is stored with the version that was shown to you.
